We are pleased to announce the commencement of the nomination process for the upcoming 2025 Term Election of The Parks at Cascade Homeowners Association. This election is an important opportunity for our community to select its leaders for the future.  The role of each Board Member is outlined below.

Endorsement of Natasha Edwards for HOA President Re-election in 2025

We are proud to endorse Natasha Edwards for re-election as President. Over her tenure, Natasha has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, achieving significant milestones, and a profound commitment to our community's well-being:

1. Leadership Experience and Skills: Natasha Edwards has proven herself to be a capable leader, guiding our HOA with integrity and foresight. Her adept management of complex issues has been instrumental in maintaining harmony and progress within our community.

2. Commitment to Transparency and Communication: Under Natasha's leadership, there has been a significant improvement in transparency and communication channels which includes our New and improved Website/ Resident Portal.  Residents also appreciate her willingness and track record of addressing their concerns promptly.

3. Track Record of Success and Improvements: Natasha's tenure has been marked by numerous accomplishments that have enriched our community. From our successful Entrance Callbox upgrade, Increased Safety patrolling, New Home Project Build, to Group Lawn Care Services, and improved financial management.  Her initiatives have had a tangible positive impact on property values and quality of life for all residents.

Looking ahead to 2025, we believe Natasha’s accomplishments and leadership would be further strengthened with the addition of new members to the board. By filling the open seats with individuals who share her vision and dedication, we can maintain momentum, continue to build on the progress made and ensure a prosperous future for our HOA.


We urge fellow homeowners to support her and vote for continued excellence in leadership.


In addition to Natasha Edwards for President, we are seeking nominations for the roles of Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Each of these positions plays a pivotal role in the governance and management of our association. We will have a special meeting in November 2024 (date tbd). This meeting will provide nominees with the opportunity to introduce themselves to members, share their qualifications, and outline their vision for the future of our community.


To ensure a smooth election process, please take note of the following steps:

  1. Nomination Submission: Members are invited to complete the attached ballot. Submit nominations for candidates to fill the positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary by September 15, 2024. Self-nominations are welcome.  CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT YOUR BALLOT 

  2. Candidate Introduction Meeting: will be held in November 2024 (Date TBD). Nominees will have the opportunity to present themselves and discuss their vision & qualifications with the membership.

  3. Ballot Preparation: After the nomination period concludes, ballots will be prepared listing all nominees for each position.

  4. January Election Date: The election is scheduled to take place January 17, 2025. Further details regarding voting procedures will be communicated closer to the time.

Your participation in this process is crucial for the continued success and effective governance of our homeowners association. If you have any questions regarding the election process, the roles of each position, or would like to nominate yourself or another member, please do not hesitate to reach out.


ROLE OF EACH POSITION

President. The President shall be the Association's chief executive officer and preside at all Association and Board meetings. The President shall have all the general powers and duties that are incident to the president's office of a corporation organized under the Georgia Nonprofit Corporation Code.

 

Vice President. The Vice President, if any, shall act in the President's absence and shall have all powers, duties, and responsibilities provided for the President when so acting.

 

Secretary. The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings of the Association and the Board of Directors and shall have charge of such books and papers as the Board may direct and shall, in general, perform all duties incident to the office of the secretary of a corporation organized under the Georgia Nonprofit Corporation Code. In addition, if the Association has no Vice President, the Secretary shall act in the President's absence and shall have all powers, duties, and responsibilities provided for the President when acting.

 

Treasurer. The Treasurer shall have the responsibility for the Association's funds and securities and shall be responsible for keeping full and accurate financial records and books of account showing all receipts and disbursements, for preparing all required financial statements and tax returns, and for the deposit of all monies and other valuable effects in the name of the Association or the managing agent in such depositories as may from time to time be designated by the Board.
